WFA x AANYAA x Fieldstones
The Alumni Association of the New York Academy of Art (AANYAA), Fieldstones, and Windham Fine Arts are presenting an exhibition and opening reception on Saturday, June 24. Fifteen alumni of the NYAA and their annual Catskills retreat will be featured.
The New York Academy of Art is a graduate school that also serves as a creative and intellectual center for artists dedicated to highly skilled, conceptually aware figurative and representational art. Its curriculum combines intensive technical training in the fine arts with active critical discourse. Students are taught traditional methods and techniques and encouraged to use these skills to make vital contemporary art.
To help graduates and students of the program further hone and develop their talents, the AANYAA collaborated with Fieldstones (a bucolic getaway in the Catskills), to provide unencumbered time to create. Isolated from the quotidian, side by side with art peers, and surrounded by nature, the annual retreat engages and inspires.
Please join us on Saturday June 24, at Windham Fine Arts for the 5-Year Anniversary Show of the Alumni Association of the New York Academy of Art. Reception 4:00 – 6:00 pm. Music by Bassist, Doug Marcus.
The show will be on display through mid-summer.
